Tech Level: Somewhat high - Time Owned: Over a year

Pros: Used this camera for my wife to watch an elderly dog from both the office and the cell phone. The wireless feature makes it easy to move to any location. After the dog passed away, I re-allocated it to watch the contractor remodel our pool, then moved it to watch the crate of our new puppy.

Cons: No PTZ from a cell phone, Digital zoom is not that great.

Other Thoughts: Did exactly what I expected with a good quality picture. Camera setup was easy, port forwarding and ddns in the router may be tough for the non technical.

Pros: This is a great addition to a system for not alot of money. My customer loved that for this price we could add a camera as good as this one.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Nice that it is wireless!

Tech Level: Average - Time Owned: About a week

Pros: Very stable camera when sitting on a level surface. Has a good picture quality as long as there is enough light in the room.
Has a very wide viewing area when rotating the camera around. You can monitor a large room with this camera.

Cons: Camera is makes a lot of noise when it is rotating.
Setup was a little difficult because I did not know my ISP doesn't allow you to use Port 80 for http. If you have problems with the camera...switch the http off of Port 80.

Other Thoughts: Good camera although I have not been able to get the wireless function to work yet. Still have to work on that. I would recommend this camera for someone looking for a reasonable PTZ camera.

Tech Level: High - Time Owned: About a month

Pros: This is the fifth Vivotek IP camera purchased for my home security system. Like the other four, installation was simple and quick. It has good performance for the price.

Cons: This model does not have optical zoom. Activation of digital zoom requires additional steps. It also does not have POE capability.

Other Thoughts: If you want optical zoom and POE, you need to purchase Vivotek's more expensive PTZ cameras.
