After you’ve got your GeoVision DVR all set up, we’ll need to go to the iPhone so we can download the GV-iView app from the iStore. Then we’ll just need to make some settings in that particular app and we’ll be able to view the cameras from the GeoVision DVR on your iPhone. As you can see I’ve already downloaded the GV-iView app. If you go to the app store and go to the search box and type in GV-iView it should pop up. Select the app, click free then click install and then it will install on your phone.

Once it’s installed click on the app and you’ll see your public IP, your port, id and password that you’ll need to enter. Then it gives you options to add favorites so you can have multiple locations. There’s also the image setting, you can set it to have low bandwidth video by setting image normal quality to off, which is recommended. Down at the bottom you can set it to live view or RPB view, which is remote play back. Once you get your remote IP for your DVR you’ll enter that in the IP box. Then enter 8866 in port and then enter your id and password. Click done, and it will start to load your cameras.

When it’s loaded you can scroll left and right to see the different cameras. You can double click an image to pull up a particular camera. You can tilt your iPhone to display the cameras differently on your screen.

To set up a favorite location go to my favorite in the menu and click add new. Enter all the information, including the port which needs to be 8866. Then you just click add.
