Pros: Small. Has a heavy-duty mounting boss on the bottom that can be moved to the top. Has an EXCELLENT picture!IR in total darkness is effective about 50' on IR reflective targets. 25' on non-reflectives.I set up two of these as close-range identification traps (5-12') They are very good for that.Another bonus is they have simultaneous wireless and video cable output. Very versitile.
Cons: Wireless strady picture range is short, 60' line of sight. Up to 200' line of sight gives a flicker occasionally, enough to trip motion software. Over 200' is marginal, useless at 400'.The included mount is a joke for outdoor use. Toss it and buy the AP-120B mount. The antenna is a P.O.S. It needs to be "Siliconed" into place, or birds will keep knocking it over. The camera body runs "hot", and roosting birds flap their wings and dance around a lot before flying off.The IR beam is too narrow. The led's glow dull red in total darkness. NOT GOOD!No instructions came with my cameras for changing channels. Also NOT GOOD.
Other Thoughts: For the price, this is an excellent performing camera. I bought two, and am now buying two more. All come set on channel 1. To change channels: (1)Unscrew the back ring; (2) Unscrew the barrel; (3) Unplug the camera board; (4) Push the transmitter out the back about 3/4"; (5)Reach in by the antenna connector and slide the switch to your preferred channel. (6) Reverse the procedure to reassemble.
