The GV-4008 utilizes MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 hardware compressions to free more CPU capacity from the intensive compression tasks. Compared with the flagship GV-Combo Card where videos are compressed with software compressions such as Geo MPEG-4, Geo MPEG-4 ASP, Geo H264 and Geo H264 V2, the GV-4008 provides an alternative for hardware compression. GV-4008 supports multiple video and audio input ports, TV output, real-time display, and D1 quality video resolution.

GeoVision's GV-Series is a PC based, multi-channel video surveillance system that utilizes the most advanced digital video compression technologies to bring you the highest picture quality and video performance. The GV-Series product group ranges from our entry level GV-600 to the flagship GV-1480. Up to 16 cameras can be connected and viewed live on a local monitor or thru a TCP/IP network. Video can be recorded based on specifiable schedules or motion detection. You can store video clips on a hard drive or any optical storage device by using the GeoVision Backup System.
