How to Configure GeoVision DVRs to Connect to a Control Center V2 System

Good afternoon and welcome to ApexCCTV’s tutorial on how to configure a GeoVision DVR to connect to a GeoVision center v2 system. In this case we’ve already configured our host list and our center v2 to accept the incoming connection we want. I’ll show you that, on the left side under accounts I have a group called demonstration DVRs and if I open this up, right click and select edit. Our login is set as is the password. That’s all we need in order to allow the incoming connection. Close the address book and minimize the center v2 software.

I’m going to use the center v2 software, but you can also do this from the desktop of your DVR. In this case I’m going to right click on select remote DVR which will bring up an interface as if I were sitting at the same console. This is actually really simple, scroll down to the bottom right and click the networking icon, it looks like 3 computers stuck together. Then click on connect to center v2, I’m going to add the correct settings. Click add center v2 and add the IP address, you can find this in the windows network settings of the center v2 station and then enter your username and password. Tell it to save the password, then click Ok and hit connect.

I’ll minimize this interface and I’ll show you in center v2 we do have cameras coming up. If you want your DVR to connect to center v2 automatically, click on the configure button then click general settings then system configure. On the top left you’ll want to check the box that says connect to center v2 under startup. So even if I were to manually restart that DVR it’ll connect to center v2 when it starts up.

Thank you for watching ApexCCTV’s video tutorial and be sure to check back for more.
