How to Configure GeoVision IP Cameras to Connect to Center V2 System Good afternoon and welcome to ApexCCTV’s tutorial on how to configure a GeoVision IP Camera to connect to a GeoVision Center V2 System. I’ll load the Center V2 System and as you can see an incoming client connection is already allowed. If you notice at the top I’ve already allowed a demonstration DVR so we do have connections to the system, Center V2 System is up and running, allowing for monitoring. We’ll go over to the accounts button and click that, which will bring up the address book. And I will expand the demonstration IP camera section so you can see I have a session allowed for IP Camera. Go ahead and close the address book and minimize Center V2, and launch Internet Explorer. Next browse to the GeoVision camera set up, you can use the IP address or hostname, and then log in with admin rights. On the left side under available configuration settings for our IP camera click on events and alerts, that’s where the Center V2 System settings are. Expand that and click on Center V2, I was playing with this earlier so I already have my settings prepopulated. You should check the activate link, I’ve got my IP address for the machine running the Center V2 System software, the correct port number is entered as is the username and password. These will prevent alerts from being sent to center v2, which is normally undesirable. In this case I’m going to leave the MJPEG checked because it has a higher resolution than MPEG4 and then I’ll click apply and give it a few seconds and reload the page. At the bottom we should see a connection status of connected. Now we’re connected to our Center V2 System and I can pull up the Center V2 System software again. I’ll go to the demonstration IP cameras and expand the list I can see that it’s online. If I want to check on it I can click it to open the camera up, and get a live view and Center V2 will pull up the camera feed. It’s that simple, you’re all done. Thank you for choosing ApexCCTV.
