How to use GeoVision’s Remote DVR Feature in Control Center V2

Good afternoon and welcome to ApexCCTV’s tutorial on GeoVision Remote DVR and the GeoVision Center V2 System. I’ll load the Center V2 System and I’ve already got several DVRs, cameras and video servers set up. In this case I’m going to just right click on one of my DVRs and select Remote DVR.

What this is, is essentially the entire GeoVision software interface through the internet or network. A really nice feature they have done with this is that, the bandwidth is throttled significantly so that it doesn’t affect you using your mouse or keyboard.

Just to walk you through a few things, I can go in here and create schedules, get to all my settings, open and view the video and audio log. I go in to any of my events that have been previously recorded; I can pull up multiple cameras at one time and synchronize them by time. Basically this is the same as sitting at the DVR; you have all the same options. The permissions available to me are set up by the DVR user I have configured with Control Center. There are some things I have deactivated so that if I were a less trusted user I could change what they are allowed to do.
