How to Configure GeoVision’s Control Center V2 to Connect to a GeoVision Video Server

Good afternoon and welcome to ApexCCTV’s tutorial on how to configure a GeoVision Video Server to connect to a GeoVision Center V2 System. I’ll load the Center V2 System and it starts off looking like this. On the top left there’s a button called host list if you hover over it. Click that and it will show a list of all our host devices. I’m adding an video server so I’ll be adding it to the video server list. I’ll click the add host icon and click on add video server.

We’ll click this and then we’re going to give it a name, something human friendly it doesn’t have to be correct just something for you to reference it by. The address is just a DNS resolvable name or an IP address. Next add your id and password to login. It’ll set up the default ports for you and there are 2 cameras on my video server.

The GeoVision video server is now in our host list and now I can go and right click and go to live view. There are two cameras set up on my video. The first one is in a dark room so the video quality isn’t great but the connection is valid.

Thank you for watching ApexCCTV’s video tutorial.
