Viewing Your Security Camera on Your iPhone with GV-iView

In this demonstration we are going to view a security DVR on our iPhone. We’ll start by going to the app store and searching for GV-iView. Clicking on it we’ll then select install. Once this app finishes installing open the app. Favorite name is just a name you give the connection so you can remember it. The IP is the IP of your DVR, outside of your house it’ll be your external IP. The default port is 8866 enter your ID and password to login to the DVR. Under Image settings you have a couple options depending on your connection speed and the number of cameras you’re trying to view; clicking this will take you back. After you’ve done all that, click connect, it can take a little while depending on your connection speed.

You’ll have different panes depending on the number of cameras in the system. You can swipe through the various panes. You can click on a specific camera stop and start recording and rotate the phone to change the view. Double tapping brings up a full screen view, and this will rotate with the phone as well. You can take a snapshot, trigger an IO alert and if you have PTZ controls on the camera you can click on the top icon and use the PTZ. By clicking and returning to multi-view you’ll return to the matrix.

That concludes our demonstration, thank you for watching this ApexCCTV video tutorial.
